This is a fabulous opportunity within our growing and dynamic company. We currently require butchers for our newly built store at Nathan way to help prepare consumer-sized portion of meat for customer use or sales.
If you enjoy making your own meat products such as sausages, burgers and pies, then this position is the best option for you. You will be trained on this job if you have not already have a certificate in Food and Safety or short harzard anaylysis and critical control point (HACCP) course.This training would help give you more insight into what will involve while working in this position.

Responsible To: Fresh Team Leader (Butchers) and Ades Duty Manager
Contract Status: Permanent part time/full time. 6 months probatory
You will be responsible for cutting, trimming and preparing consumer sized meat as requested for the customers.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Ability to use food processing machinaries.
Good customer relationship.
Manual Dexterity: The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble meat products or objects.
Good personal hygiene and understand the importance of following health and safety policy and process.
Wrap, weigh, label and price cuts of meat.
Prepare and place meat cuts and products in display counter, so they will appear attractive and catch the shopper's eye.
Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers.
Cut, trim, bone, tie, and grind meats, such as beef, lamb, poultry, fish etc., to prepare meat in cooking form or frozen.
Estimate requirement and order or requisition of meat supplies to maintain inventories.
Receive, inspect, and store meat and meat products upon delivery, to ensure meat quality.
Use machine to cut and prepare meat.
operate food processing production equipment/machinery.
